ADHD in men is not well understood. For most of the last century, ADHD research has centered on boys — leaving out huge populations of patients, including those very boys later in life.

Now, ADDitude is working to better understand how ADHD symptoms shift, spike, wane, and change as boys age and mature. Our editorial team is fielding a survey of men with ADHD regarding the symptom fluctuations associated with puberty, rising testosterone levels in early adulthood, and waning testosterone in midlife and beyond. We aim to better understand how ADHD typically manifests during different stages of life, and how ADHD symptoms many contribute to the experience of a “midlife crisis” in men, among other things.

ADDitude is fielding a similar survey for women with ADHD that is also accepting responses here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/women-with-adhd
