My 6 year old daughter had recently been diagnosed with ADHD/ADD and was started on Adderall 10mg, but there were too many emotional side effects along with zombie-like personality. We switched to Metadate CD 10mg and saw ADHD/ADD symptoms return, we contacted out doctor and increased dose to 20mg and it has been working beautifully with little to no side effects and she is thriving in school socially and academically!!
My son is 5 (nearly 6) and has been officially diagnosed with ADHD. He is on Metadate CD 10mg and we are on day 4 with no difference in behavior, but he does have a suppressed appetite.
My daughter has been taking Metadate for 2 years for ADHD/Anxiety. First we tried Adderall but had some negative side effects. Metadate has been working well for her except that we struggle with the appetite suppression. I have to be very diligent in getting her to eat a protein & calorie rich diet without a lot of sugar. She is much less impulsive, more cooperative, is excelling in school and able to focus, and her moods are much more stable.
I’m on day 3 Metadate CD 10mg. I immediately start feeling drowsy and hazy. I am on Prozac as well.
My son has been taking Metadate for 5 years now. The road had not been easy. He takes about 70 mg a day. 50 mg in the morning and 20 mg at lunch. When he gets home it’s still in his system so he can stay focused during homework time.
It took us 2 years to find the right medicine and dose for my 8-year-old son. Metadate works beautifully. He is able to better focus in school and at home. The other medications made him overly emotional or aggressive.
My 7-year-old son has just been diagnosed with ADHD. We have started him on Metadate CD 10mg. This is now the 3rd day of meds and I see no change at all.
My seven-year-old daughter just started Metadate CD 10MG. We have not encountered any negative side effects but on the first day she was very moody and easily irritated.
My son had been diagnosed with ADHD in 2010 at age 5. He started taking Metadate CD at 20 mg. But as the months went by, his body became immune to it. The doctor raised it to 30 mg twice a day. Altogether, he was taking 4 different medications: Metadate, Zoloft, risperadone, and clonidine. Then the vomiting started almost everyday. We stopped the medication and the vomiting stopped.
My son, age 9, has been on Metadate CD 10 mg and has done well for the past year. We added Ritalin 5 mg in the morning to give him a boost during school only.
